Rewiring the Mind: Positive Affirmations and Overcoming Anxiety

In this week's GiddyUp segment, Lesa shares her excitement for the upcoming Christmas season and reflects on personal anxiety and the journey of self-improvement. Emphasizing the importance of overcoming stress and rewiring the brain, the host discusses insights from a Tony Robbins episode featuring Bruce Lipton on the power of subconscious reprogramming through hypnosis and positive self-recordings. Practical advice is offered on creating personal voice recordings with affirmations to listen to before sleep, all while maintaining a connection to faith. Speaker:

Welcome to this week's Giddy Up segment.

2

:

I'm so thankful that you're here and.

3

:

It's almost Christmas, which

I'm really excited about.

4

:

Looking forward to family and

grand babies make it so fun.

5

:

now, you know, this giddy up segment

is here to help you as I make my

6

:

journey through life and I'm doing

everything I can to make it better.

7

:

And so what I wanted to share with you

today, well, first of all, If you didn't

8

:

get a chance to listen to Tuesday's

episode, please go back and listen because

9

:

I have a good friend, Michelle, who's on,

who actually came in and helped me when I

10

:

was going through my little health issues.

11

:

she really, she's inspiring and

she talks about how she kept a

12

:

positive mindset through a real

tricky divorce with two kids.

13

:

So if you can get through that, you know,

if we can get through hard things and

14

:

learn from other people, it's going to.

15

:

help us either when we face

hard things or maybe to even get

16

:

there before facing the hard.

17

:

What I want to share is, y'all know

that I have been an anxious person.

18

:

You know, I've shared that

probably my entire life.

19

:

I've just had anxiety and worry

and I really want to overcome that.

20

:

And it's really important to me, since

my little health crisis, because.

21

:

I felt like I was doing a lot right.

22

:

Like I was trying, you know, doing my best

with trying to get good sleep, getting

23

:

exercise pretty good nutritionally.

24

:

I talked a little bit about probably,

maybe wine too often during the

25

:

week and that's changed now, which

has changed my body and been really

26

:

good and started weightlifting.

27

:

But the one thing.

28

:

that I really haven't been good at

that I'm really working on is kind of

29

:

relieving the stress or just Being being

freer or feeling freer and happier and

30

:

what I'm learning Through something

called NLP, which I'm not going to get

31

:

into because I just started it I've got

some episodes coming up with a really

32

:

amazing Functional assessment expert.

33

:

She's gonna talk a little bit about

genetics And then we're going to talk a

34

:

little bit about NLP, but what led me to

get there was I listened to a Tony Robbins

35

:

episode and it was one with Bruce Lipton

and I'm going to put a link with his

36

:

book that I'm reading in it, but Bruce.

37

:

very scientifically minded.

38

:

In fact, sometimes as book, I'm like,

Oh, because I just want to get to,

39

:

okay, tell me what I can do to feel

better, but it's really in depth.

40

:

And you know, this GiddyUp segment is

quick, but I want to give you a tool

41

:

that I, I just recorded before this.

42

:

And he said that when

you're falling asleep.

43

:

is when your mind is

open to kind of rewire.

44

:

And I do feel like I need to rewire

my brain because of that anxiety.

45

:

And it's a very complicated kind of, I

mean, he can explain it really well in

46

:

his book and in, in that podcast about

how our thoughts and beliefs kind of get

47

:

wired in us when we're really, really

young, with good parents, with bad

48

:

parents, no matter what, something gets.

49

:

wired and it's really hard to change

that wiring when you said one really

50

:

easy way to do it is through hypnosis.

51

:

Well, I kept listening and I thought

well, I mean, I don't even know if I

52

:

really trust anyone to hypnotize me

and you know, I, I I have also, you

53

:

know, in this journey, I don't want

to do myself help without my God.

54

:

So I just ask him to hold

my hand through this.

55

:

But one thing that Bruce Lipton

suggested doing, which can really

56

:

easily rewire your brain is to just do

a simple voice recording of yourself.

57

:

And it's kind of, so what I do is

kind of saying, rewiring your brain.

58

:

So you know how we can

say like, I'm beautiful.

59

:

I don't worry about what other

people think or whatever it is.

60

:

But until you really believe that

it's not going to change your life.

61

:

So I just tried it I did a recording.

62

:

And it was about three minutes long.

63

:

And then I did a recording where I kept

replaying the same thing and just put down

64

:

things like, I love myself as God loves

me, which gives me freedom and peace.

65

:

I think that was one thing that

I said, because that's in my

66

:

journey, that's one thing that

I'm learning that I need help on.

67

:

And you guys, this is so deep.

68

:

But I thought, let me give you this

little tool because I think it can help.

69

:

You know, how everybody talks about

beliefs and it is a biblical that, you

70

:

know, you need to believe it in order

or, or in order for God, that's faith.

71

:

So it is biblical and I don't want to go

against that ever, but I thought, well,

72

:

let's just give this a little try and see.

73

:

I think kind of what I'm figuring out is

God created us in his image and he, Is a

74

:

creator and so are we and so I think he

wants us to use all the gifts that we can

75

:

So i'm willing to give this a try and I

I you know I'm willing to find peace and

76

:

to not have anxiety and to do even bigger

things, you know with with this practice.

77

:

So I will let you all know how it goes.

78

:

I will come back on the little

giddy up segment or in one of my

79

:

Maybe in another longer segment.

80

:

I don't know But I will get back

to you and let you know how my life

81

:

has changed with this practice So

what you do is you do the recording?

82

:

You do the recording And then you

use it right before you fall asleep.

83

:

you put little headphones in.

84

:

If you've got a buddy in bed, you

hopefully your hubby, you know, or

85

:

sometimes a grandkid or a kid, but you

put your headphones in and you listen.

86

:

And what I have found is.

87

:

I often wake up at night and I'll stick

headphones in and listen to a podcast.

88

:

And I'm like, well, I don't know

if I, I mean, I love Joe Rogan.

89

:

Don't get me wrong, but I don't really

know if I want all that information

90

:

going into my subconscious, which

apparently is what happens when

91

:

you're starting to fall asleep.

92

:

So this is new and I'm going to start

plugging in to my own voice doing.

93

:

positive affirmations, but just positive

beliefs that I really want to believe.

94

:

And I'm not there yet that I think

could change my life based on who I am.

95

:

And mine are going to

be different than yours.

96

:

We all have, we're all different.

97

:

We're all in this together

and we're all different.

98

:

So, give it a try.

99

:

Send me a note, let me know how it

goes and I will keep you posted.

100

:

Thank you so much for being here.

101

:

I feel so blessed to be able

to share this with all of you.
