Welcome to Saddle Up Live.

2

:

I'm really thankful that you're here.

3

:

I, um, was just out hiking and had

so much inspiration that I wanted to

4

:

jump in here and share it with you.

5

:

And I'm hoping to get it done before

people start walking in that door that's

6

:

right over there, right next to me.

7

:

But this is what I wanted to share.

8

:

You all know.

9

:

That my business has been

changing just a little bit, still

10

:

doing the work of mediations.

11

:

Um, you know, that was

my original business.

12

:

And I think I came upon that by

really a prayerful connection with.

13

:

What my true values were and, um,

trying to align my gifts better.

14

:

And I felt like mediation was a

little bit better than practicing law.

15

:

But now as I look through a different

lens, a new lens, I'm really wanting to,

16

:

to be successful, not really towards this

world's terms, but I want to use my gifts.

17

:

And serve the world and just be filled.

18

:

I have so much passion.

19

:

I know we all do.

20

:

I get so passionate about things

and I want to use those gifts.

21

:

So my business is changing.

22

:

My website is changing.

23

:

I'm adding some new online courses

and it really is to help you.

24

:

If you want to take one last ditch effort

to save your marriage, I can help you.

25

:

If you are, you know, a mama whose

kids are heading off to school

26

:

or a grandma, and you're looking.

27

:

You know, you want to feel better or,

you know, find some value in your life.

28

:

I'm, I'm here for you.

29

:

So those are all things that I'm doing.

30

:

But it was funny because I'm

always like growing and learning.

31

:

And, um, I was listening to a really

good Tony Robbins YouTube video, which

32

:

I'm going to go into more detail in

another episode, but one of the things

33

:

he talked about was aligning with God

and he had steps to get there because he

34

:

said, if your purpose is in alignment.

35

:

With God, nothing can stop you and success

will look different because the success

36

:

for me is going to be different than you.

37

:

We don't need to fall into

what the world thinks.

38

:

So, um, and he said, I think the first

thing that he said was to the first person

39

:

you talk to have it be God, like ask

him, where do you want me to go today?

40

:

How can I add value?

41

:

And so that's one thing

I'm going to start doing.

42

:

But a lot of us.

43

:

Kind of struggle with, well,

what is my purpose, right?

44

:

Like, what am I, what's my purpose?

45

:

And he talks about how your purpose

is kind of something that you choose.

46

:

That's, that's, it was in

you, it's your calling.

47

:

It was before you were born and it has to

do with your values and with your gifts.

48

:

And, you know, with circumstances

that have led you to where you are.

49

:

And so one of the key things, right,

is to figure out what your gifts are.

50

:

So I was like, all right, I'm

really trying to listen to God.

51

:

So I went out on this hike and I'm

like, God, show me what my gifts are.

52

:

I was like.

53

:

Going through the recesses of my

mind, and I was like, you know, kind

54

:

of going back and forth like, well, I

guess I can do hard things, you know,

55

:

I went through that stage one breast

cancer, chemo and all that stuff.

56

:

And I've done marathons,

I've I'm through law school.

57

:

I can do hard things.

58

:

Okay.

59

:

Is that a gift?

60

:

I don't know.

61

:

You know, so I was thinking about

that and I actually kind of, I

62

:

think, started feeling like maybe

a little bit unworthy or bad.

63

:

Like, well, I don't know.

64

:

It's not like I've done

anything really big, right?

65

:

So you're thinking in the

world, what, what is big?

66

:

And then after walking for a while

and really trying to listen, I

67

:

realized The thing that I was

most passionate about, passionate

68

:

about in my life was being a mama.

69

:

And I got to birth two babies.

70

:

I had the blessing of adopting

a baby and being a mother.

71

:

Now, I was not perfect.

72

:

But I was passionate.

73

:

Nothing could stop me from doing

whatever I felt in my heart was the

74

:

right thing to do for my children.

75

:

And it wasn't always right.

76

:

You can just go ask them.

77

:

They'll tell you all about it.

78

:

But what I want you to know is What could

be more success than that, than mothering?

79

:

That's my gift, being a mama.

80

:

And so I was like, Oh, well, that's kind

of a cool gift if you look at it that way.

81

:

And then you look at, like, you brought

three amazing children into this world.

82

:

And let me tell you, they're amazing

because I'm their mom and I can tell you.

83

:

But they are, they're

awesome, awesome people.

84

:

And then they bring people into

your lives, their friends, their

85

:

spouses, then the grandma comes in.

86

:

That's mothering too.

87

:

So now I get to like, Oh,

I love those grandbabies.

88

:

I love, I get to hold them

and kiss them and love them.

89

:

And I've got kiddos

that want to be near me.

90

:

So I get to be near their

kids and I, I get that.

91

:

What?

92

:

That's success.

93

:

I get to have them all around me and I

think a big part of that mothering is the

94

:

love and the nurturing and the teaching

and the growing and I can't help but

95

:

believe that that's in my heart too.

96

:

So.

97

:

I thought, you know what?

98

:

I mean, maybe it's kind of the

gift of mothering, but include

99

:

teaching and learning and growing.

100

:

And so that's where this is all going.

101

:

And it doesn't mean that

because my kids are adults.

102

:

And I'm all done mothering because you can

mother, you can mother, even if you don't

103

:

have children, you can mother your nieces

and nephew, you can mother friends, you

104

:

can nurture and love and teach and grow.

105

:

And the really cool thing about

the work that I get to do now

106

:

is like I get to research.

107

:

So I'm actually writing a book.

108

:

Finally, I've been talking

about it for so long.

109

:

And that is one thing that

God really put on my heart.

110

:

And I just, I'm just going for it.

111

:

I'm taking action.

112

:

And you know what, if it's only

for me to heal, or if it's for

113

:

something that's made for more,

still be it, but I'm going to do it.

114

:

And I'm starting on an eight week

course to get me through it with

115

:

somebody who's going to help me.

116

:

Um.

117

:

In a couple of months.

118

:

So stay tuned.

119

:

That's all coming down the line.

120

:

And that will probably be my first thing

and that I can mother I can mother by

121

:

sharing what I've learned by caring

by loving and being passionate about

122

:

it because I really do want us gals to

suffer less to connect more and to just

123

:

live happier, more fulfilled lives.

124

:

And if we're feeling like our

gifts are of no value, that's yeah.

125

:

That's just not true.

126

:

That's just, I mean, fiddlesticks.

127

:

That's not true.

128

:

Mothering is probably the most

important thing we do because every

129

:

little human does something and

it doesn't have to be that you're,

130

:

you know, making a million dollars.

131

:

It can be that you get to live a

healthy, loving life with family nearby.

132

:

So, I guess I just wanted to get in here

and share that with you and I invite

133

:

you to look at what your gifts are.

134

:

I'm going to keep exploring it and

don't put them down because maybe

135

:

it's not what the world thinks.

136

:

And also like there are some that I

felt like, well, that's kind of braggy.

137

:

You know, like, I don't want

to say that I'm good at that.

138

:

You know what?

139

:

It's okay.

140

:

You can say, you want to know why?

141

:

Because we're all unique and we're

all made by God and we all have our

142

:

special things and it doesn't make

anyone better than anyone else.

143

:

But you get to see what

God gave you because.

144

:

What would it be a sin if you

didn't if you didn't realize the

145

:

gifts that you think are too much?

146

:

So isn't that funny like you can think

well, that's too much I'm thinking

147

:

too highly of myself with that gift

and that gift doesn't mean anything.

148

:

That's not true It's not true.

149

:

God created us all and we're to

let our light shine and I don't

150

:

have the gifts that you have.

151

:

And so share them with me or, you know,

whatever, if it's not about sharing

152

:

it or teaching it, it's some, in some

way, you're adding value to this world.

153

:

And we're all there.

154

:

And I also started to realize that

when I was so concerned with what

155

:

the world and what people thought,

it was actually very selfish.

156

:

And that's not how I want to live.

157

:

I want to serve the world and my family.

158

:

And so bye.

159

:

Focusing more on being aligned with

God in my purpose, I can look at

160

:

bigger things and really move forward.

161

:

So I'm going to be talking about this

more in future podcasts, but I just

162

:

heard that car pull up in the driveway.

163

:

So we're going to have some

people coming in this store.

164

:

And so I'm going to cut this off.

165

:

So this is a really quick Saddle Up

Live, but I hope it's meaningful for you.

166

:

And I.

167

:

I just hope that you can start

thinking about what your gifts are.

168

:

And as we go along, I'll keep adding

things to it and sharing with you.

169

:

And I'll have failures along the way.

170

:

We all do, but they're not,

they're not bad things.

171

:

They're stepping stones and I'm

not going to see them as obstacles.

172

:

I'm going to see them as growth and I'm

going to share them with all of you.

173

:

So thanks for being here.

174

:

Take good care.
