Speaker:

Welcome to the Giddy Up segment

where we are blazing new trails.

2

:

We're just going to briefly talk about

some things that we learned in Latin and

3

:

Tuesday's episode, and then we'll talk

a little bit about what's coming up on

4

:

this coming Tuesday, because we're in

the middle of a series about the five

5

:

strengths that led to my wellbeing when

I went through something really hard.

6

:

Which for me, it was breast breast

cancer, but it can be anything

7

:

hard that you're going through.

8

:

And those things were strengthening

my relationship with God.

9

:

It was strengthening my relationship

with people and community.

10

:

It was strengthening my

relationship with food.

11

:

And then it was also just strengthening

physically the things that I started

12

:

doing a little bit different.

13

:

And, probably the thing that

I'm still working on the most is

14

:

strengthening the rejuvenation

and the rest that's new to me.

15

:

So, so we talked about the first three

last week, and I think I just want to.

16

:

say that when I strengthened my

relationship with God and when I started

17

:

getting, knowing how to get out into the

community more to kind of let myself be

18

:

who I am and let people see my authentic

self, it took away that burden of trying

19

:

to be perfect because I said, I was an

introvert, but I think I was really more.

20

:

Not wanting people to see my ugly

sides and, that kind of hit slap me

21

:

in the face going through what I went

through because you're not perfect.

22

:

And that has become a blessing

and it's still something.

23

:

That I'm working on.

24

:

So I'm still working on trying

to let go of wanting people

25

:

to see me, better than I am.

26

:

I think just by being authentic and

feeling how good that feels to truly

27

:

be loved helps you through hard things.

28

:

And you have to ask for help and

you have to say how you're feeling

29

:

because talk therapy we know helps you.

30

:

So those first two things helped me

through a really hard time and then

31

:

eating right helps you feel better.

32

:

And I know so many times when we're going

through something hard, we just want to

33

:

like, Eat the cookies or whatever it is.

34

:

And I would just say, here's the, the

one thing that if you can just do one

35

:

little thing to help yourself through

this, I would say maybe switch something.

36

:

Like if there's a drink that you love,

that's really sugary at Starbucks.

37

:

Figure out a way to do it without the

sugar and keep doing it without the sugar.

38

:

If there's a cookie you love,

there's like really good monk fruit.

39

:

And there are options that you

can find that are sugar free.

40

:

Just do one little thing.

41

:

And, and grab onto that you're

able to do that and it will make

42

:

you feel better so that you can

feel better through something hard.

43

:

And I'm telling you, I know there

are days when you just have to

44

:

sit and mourn and that's okay.

45

:

But all these things that I did did help

me and I still did have the days where I

46

:

had to sit and mourn But let yourself know

how many days are you gonna give yourself

47

:

to do that and then pick yourself up?

48

:

Do your best.

49

:

Take care of yourself so that you

can feel good and serve the world

50

:

and the people who really need you.

51

:

Take good care.

52

:

Thanks for being here.
